The Next SEMAC Individual Artist Grant Deadline is July 1 | |
SEMAC is opening another round of grant opportunities to individual artists in Southeastern Minnesota on June 1. The deadline for the LOI portion (Part 1) of the Individual Artist Grant is Monday, July 1. Once Part 1 is submitted, eligible applicants will have until July 11 to submit their final applications. These competitive grants are for full-time residents of SEMAC's 11-county region to create entirely original work and share it with the community. Emerging Artists can receive up to $3,000 and Advancing Artists up to $5,000. | |

This month we feature Project FINE's Culture Arts & Ancestry project. | |
Project FINE is a Winona-based nonprofit that has supported refugees and immigrants since 1990 by providing interpretation, education, and empowerment services. One of their most impactful initiatives is the Cultural Arts & Ancestry project funded by the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council. This project allows refugees and immigrants to share their artistic heritage with the community through cultural learning experiences and art workshops.
