The Alumni Office is thrilled to welcome Samara Spielberg and Jaison Spain '97 as our new Alumni Liaisons! Read more about them below.

Samara Spielberg, Young Alumni Liaison, Spanish Department Head

In her fourteenth year at The Allen-Stevenson School, learner, leader, and connector Samara Spielberg is thrilled to bring her passion for relationship-building and community engagement to her new role as Young Alumni Liaison. Inspired by David Kersey's frequent reminder, "You're next for this alumni business, Spielberg," she is excited to carry on his legacy of fostering lasting connections between the boys and their A-S roots.

Feel free to reach out to Señorita Spielberg via email or on the Alumni Instagram with an ¡hola!, a humble brag, something that made you smile today, and ideas for gathering your fellow classmates. Once an A-S boy, always an A-S boy! We can’t wait to reconnect.

Jaison Spain '97, Alumni Council Liaison, General Manager of Performance Spaces, Arts Associate, Shop Assistant

In his five years as a student and eighteenth year as an educator at The Allen-Stevenson School, Jaison Spain '97 truly embodies the A-S motto, “there are many ways to be an Allen-Stevenson boy.” He is delighted to begin his new role as Alumni Council Liaison, where he will continue to reconnect with his fellow Unicorns! He knows many alumni are excited to come back and share the experiences they’ve had as students, find out how much the school has changed, attend sporting events, meetings, rehearsals, and performances.

Please look for future emails alerting our fellow Unicorns about such events and don’t hesitate to contact him via email with any ideas or questions you may have to further enrich our current students. Fortiter et Recte and Stick 'em Corns!

Around Allen-Stevenson

A peek at what’s happening on 78th Street (and beyond) this month!

Lower Division (K-4)

Third-grade boys are discovering the power of kindness. After reading Each Kindness by Jacqueline Woodson, they explored how a seemingly small gesture can create a significant impact on others. Inspired by the story, the boys wrote heartfelt cards to people in our community who are helpful, kind, and make a positive difference.

Upper Division (5-8)

Soccer season has “kicked” off, and our JV and varsity teams are not only showcasing their talent on the field but also strengthening bonds with their peers! We can’t wait to see their teamwork and friendships flourish with every match.

Allen-Stevenson's Founders Day

On Friday, October 11, students came together to celebrate the cherished tradition of Founders Day.

After some fun morning activities, the community gathered in The David Koch Jr. ’14 Gymnasium to welcome alumni speakers Santiago Vargas Machado '18 and Zale Peart '18. Both delivered inspiring and thought-provoking reflections on their time at Allen-Stevenson, sharing how they learned to embrace their individuality.
