From Rev. Brock Patterson
"We're gonna have the 'Hap-Hap-Happiest Christmas'!"
The Holidays at the Chapel are in full swing! If you haven’t yet attended an event or walked the Chapel grounds, try to do it before the end of December. The Garden decorations, day or night, are simply wonderful.
Throughout the day and evening hours, island residents and visitors stroll through the Chapel’s Garden. In the few days since we officially opened the light extravaganza, I’ve met a number of new people who are just trying to experience a little Christmas in the tropics. Like many of us, they traded their homes and big yards for a condo on the beach. Since few of us can decorate like we used to, having a place where we can enjoy some outside Christmas cheer and décor has proven to be important to our Christmas experience. The Chapel Garden is helping to make that possible for everyone - without leaving the island!
So, if you’re currently visiting the Chapel and wondering if you should get more involved, the answer is, “Yes.” If you’re looking for a place to help at the Chapel this Holiday Season, we can certainly use it. Many opportunities are still available to help for just a couple of hours or longer, depending on your schedule.
But really, I’m not shopping for volunteers. Instead, I’m hoping that you take some time to experience Christmas at the Chapel. In the process, I’m praying that you’ll meet some of the many Chapel visitors who are browsing through the Gardens during the Holiday Season. Day or night, this is a simple and easy way to introduce someone to the love, joy, and support that makes the Chapel so special for all of us.
The Holidays are here! Come see us at the Chapel this week!
God Bless, Brock.
