Phone Bank Volunteers Needed!

2022 Fall Fund Drive


The KKFI Winter Fund Drive is scheduled for Monday, October 17 - Thursday, October 27; and we need phone bank volunteers.


As usual, our phone bank will accommodate volunteers who are comfortable coming into the station as well as those who prefer to participate remotely. The ability to volunteer remotely should provide the flexibility to allow more volunteers to contribute their time in support of the drive.

Note: All phone bank volunteers should be comfortable using the computer to enter pledges. We are no longer using paper forms.


To volunteer for the virtual phone bank, you will need:


  • Desktop or laptop computer
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Microphone and speakers
  • MaxUC phone app installed on your computer or smartphone*


*You will still need a computer to enter pledges if you choose to install the app on your smartphone.


Chromebooks are not recommended for installing the phone app. A wired headset is recommended for your computer or phone, but not required.


Also, all supervisors and remote volunteers must join our Slack workgroup; which will allow phone bank members, supervisors and staff to communicate with each other during shifts. You can find information about Slack here.


We especially need volunteers to take on the supervisor role. Supervisors will concentrate on back office tasks during the drive and less on answering calls. They should also be comfortable using spreadsheets, and be familiar with concepts such as copy/paste and editing text. Please consider signing up for a supervisor shift if you're able.
