that you don't want to miss!

Dear Benedictine High School Alumni, Family, and Friends:

Campus has come back alive and we are off to a great start with the 2024/25 school year. Just a couple weeks ago we enjoyed Spirit Week and Homecoming weekend. The student leadership under the guidance of Mrs. Anderson created really fun and engaging events throughout the week that were topped off with a big gridiron win against Shaker. The dance had a Vegas theme and was very well attended. You can definitely feel the school spirit rising here at the Home of Champions.

The Development team would like to invite you to campus for our Monthly Meet & Greet Luncheons. During these sessions we provide you valuable updates on all the improvements being made at the Home of Champions. It's also an opportunity for a student guided tour to relive the positive memories you have of Benedictine. Our next two sessions are October 15th and November 19th. For more information contact Director of Development Tom Bennett at bennett@cbhs.edu.

As the seasons change and we look to Fall, we send our prayers and blessings out to you.

A Season of Renewal

Loving Father, As the seasons change and the colors of fall surround us, we are reminded of the beauty of your creation and the gift of time. Help us to embrace this season of reflection and renewal with grateful hearts. May we, like the trees that shed their leaves, humbly let go of what no longer serves us, making room for new growth in our lives. Guide us as we cultivate a spirit of community, supporting one another as we journey together. Grant us the wisdom to be good stewards of the gifts you’ve entrusted to us, always seeking to glorify You in our thoughts, words, and deeds. We ask this through Christ our Lord,

Amen.

AROUND THE CLASSROOM!

Thank you Dr. Anthony Daher '89. for giving the gift of your time with our students.

Dr. Daher is an active volunteer to Mr. Gambon's classroom, helping to give our students a glimpse into the life of a practicing physician.

Last year, he led students in a pig-feet suturing demonstration. This year, he did a primer on emergency medicine and a demonstration of how to intubate an unconscious patient.

Benedictine High School State of Ohio License Plate - Petition

We are working with local legislators to petition the State of Ohio for a Benedictine High School license plate. This special interest plate would come with an additional fee (usually around $30) that is collected by the BMV and a portion of that fee is donated to our Annual Fund. It becomes an easy way for us to fundraise on something you already need to do annually. While we do not have a design yet it would likely be something similar to this OSU example.

Part of the process requires us to obtain a minimum of 150 unique signatures on a petition and we are a third of the way to our Goal. Please only sign this petition if you would have genuine intent to pay the extra fees associated with a BHS special interest plate - Google Form linked here Sign the Petition! You will need to have your current license plate number and driver's license handy when completing this petition. All information being asked for is required by the State. If you do not have a Google account we will be circulating a paper petition as well.

This past Sunday we were blessed with over 200 guests for the Annual Abbey Benefit held on the campus of Benedictine. Mass was celebrated by the Most Reverend Bishop Roger Gries, OSB '54. Inclement weather forced the reception inside but the Advancement team did an amazing job of dressing up the Fieldhouse. The afternoon included a blessing of the newly refurbished Marian Grotto by Bishop Roger, a history of the Marian Grotto by Father Michael, OSB Prior, and a reflection on the impact of the grotto by Mr. Chuck St. John '54. The grotto garden has been dedicated to St. John family for their 100 years of support to both Benedictine High School and St. Andrew Abbey.
