Sometimes life takes an unexpected change that requires us to seek and accept help working through life’s transitions. When Mary* had to step up unexpectedly to raise her granddaughter, she found Catholic Charities. Thanks to our Food Co-op Program and support, Mary received food and much-needed assistance. Mary is grateful for the aid she received during her family’s time of need. Eventually, she was able to improve her circumstances, complete the program and find stability in her new living situation. Today, Mary is a grateful volunteer at the same Food Co-op Program that helped to sustain her and her granddaughter.

The Catholic Charities Mission is about renewing and restoring lives. We build relationships and genuinely care for the people we serve!
We became aware that a resident at Casa San Francisco was struggling with alcoholism. She allowed us to assist her seek treatment at a nearby facility. Difficulties and vulnerability brought her to Catholic Charities; however, with the strong support system Casa San Francisco provided, she began meaningful relationships and took to heart their restorative and renewing intervention! Case manager, Vicky, and Program manager, Gary, worked together to support Trisha* physically, emotionally, and spiritually from the admissions process through the
28-day program for rehabilitation. Today, Trisha is a happier, healthier and very productive version of herself!

Buy a Bouquet During the Month December
To Benefit Casa San Francisco Emergency Food Pantry
| |
Catholic Charities been selected by The Giant Food Bloomin’ 4 Good Program to benefit from the sale of specially marked $12.99 Bloomin’ 4 Good bouquets. Catholic Charities will receive a $1 donation from each purchase of a bouquet with the purple tag. This is a great way to broaden awareness in the local community and raise donations for our organization to support our community better.
Where can I buy the Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet?
Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquets are available at all Giant Food locations. Look for the bouquets with the purple hanging tag in the floral section of the store. If you can’t find them, just ask a staff member where they are. They’ll be happy to show you!
Does only a certain type of floral bouquet benefit local nonprofits?
Yes, floral bouquets which benefit the selected nonprofit organization of the month are indicated by a purple hanging tag. The bouquets are “grower’s choice,” so the assortment of seasonal flowers will vary.
What is the Bloomin’ 4 Good Program?
Each time a shopper purchases the Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet with the purple hanging tag, $1 is donated to a local nonprofit organization selected to benefit for the month. Every bouquet sold works to give back across the local communities served by Giant Food.
