TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH E-NEWSLETTER

The week of Sunday, April 28th

Sunday's Gospel Text: John 15:1-8

This Sunday's service will not be livestreamed, as all our technicians are out this weekend. We hope you can join us in-person! (And consider getting trained in the sound booth!)

We welcome Pastor Julie to preside over our service this Sunday, April 28th!

This Wednesday at Family Faith Night, Samantha will be teaching on the fruit of the spirit awards in the sanctuary for ALL our youth and children (PreK-12). Each student and teacher will receive an end of the year certificate with one of the fruits that is prominent in their personality and spirit. We will end the night with a bonfire on the patio.

Parents, you are invited to join!

TRINITY UPDATES

The Trinity Lutheran Church Self-Study Report is complete, and MSP is live!

This report is a comprehensive document prepared by the transition team which assessed and evaluated our progress, capabilities, and potential as a ministry. It also summarizes data collected from the survey that was completed this winter. Click the document to read!

Additionally, our Mission Site Profile is live for applicants to view!

This last Sunday during worship, we made a bittersweet announcement.

While Trinity continues to listen to God’s call and mission for us during leadership transition, our staff are also listening to The Spirit and how She moves in their personal lives.

Our Director of Operations and Programming, Samantha Johnson, is listening to God’s nudge to return to the Midwest to be closer to family and friends. We serve a faithful God who not only will be blessing another community with Samantha, but who also has great plans for her, us, and our future.

It's hard to believe, but we only have 2 Family Faith Night Meals left for the academic year! Renell and Samantha are seeking out families to host these last few dinners. As a reminder, a Children's Ministry Grant is supporting the cost of each meal this year, up to $250 each. If you can sign up for a Wednesday night, please email or talk to Samantha Johnson.

May 1st: Fruit of the Spirit Awards Night

May 8th: Light the Fire Talent Show Night

Trinity is accessible via Jackson Creek Parkway!

The development behind Trinity is quickly growing! The neighborhoods are now connected and you can access Trinity via Jackson Creek Parkway! Turn east onto Slopeside and right on Brass Buckle. Brass Buckle winds into Lucky Penny Lane, followed by one more right onto Knollwood Drive!

MINISTRY TEAM FEATURE OF THE MONTH

Worship & Music

Member Spotlights: Adelie Tillman, Karla Balk, and Becky Albright

Adelie: "I like being able to express my faith through music and spending time with other musicians in my faith community. Plus I get to experiment with different instruments!"

Karla: "For myself, singing with the worship group has heightened my worship experience. I find that the music comes home with me after worship ends and my week begins. If our members hear the music, it resonates with them and some of it lingers inside, then I believe we’ve done well as a worship team. What joy it is to sing for our Lord and Savior and to share those notes and words with others!"

Becky: "I’ve been serving on Trinity’s worship team for about 20 years, and I can’t imagine not being a part of it. It’s so beautiful to hear and see our congregation raise voices of praise and worship together. Members of the worship team bring so much talent and experience, and they are so generous in sharing their gifts with the congregation but also with the rest of the team. I’ve learned so much from my fellow team members, and I love spending time with them rehearsing as well as leading. It’s such a blessing to get to serve while doing something I absolutely love! (Lots of talent and experience are not required to join!! The worship team helps us develop and gain confidence in our gifts)

CELEBRATIONS

It was a frigid, foggy Sunday, but that did not stop us from planting 50 trees in Trinity Community Park after worship last weekend! Our little Douglas Firs are along the walking path, property line and scattered around the park. We can't wait to watch them slowly grow and provide shade to our park space. Thank you to all who joined us!
