Tulip Festival Tent Shift Sign-up - For ALL Families

The OC Tulip Festival is just 5 weeks away and the final details for this upcoming fundraiser are coming together! Support from every OCCS family is needed to make this large event successful each year. Tent work shifts will take place through Signup.com on April 15th and April 16th. An example list of jobs/tent shifts can be viewed at here. Jobs highlighted in yellow are eligible for a youth worker.

We are no longer able to sell homemade pies in the tent due to changes in the health code. For this reason, we are no longer asking families to bring pies. We plan to offer alternative dessert options in the tent.

The signup for tent shifts will start with double shift signups from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 15th. Single shift signups will be from 6 -8 PM Tuesday, April 16th.

Unless a member of your family is a chairperson on the Tent, Soup, Pig or Straatmarket committees or serves as the Tiger Paws treasurer, an adult member from your family is asked to work at least one shift at either the Straatmarket or the tent.

Double Shift Signups: If you are willing to work at least two tent shifts, you can sign up early for double shifts. Consider working two shifts yourself or joining with your spouse or friend and sign up early for the best choices. (Double shift workers may be two people representing your family, at least one of the workers must be an adult.) If you are hiring a youth worker to work your shift, remember to sign up for eligible jobs. They are highlighted in yellow on the tent schedule. Youth workers are only allowed to work certain shifts and jobs – once those spots are filled, your substitute must be an adult. The shifts available for work for hires are noted on the website as well.

To help your planning, you can view the shift sign up at the following links, Straatmarket and Tent, but you will not be able to sign up until the site opens. You may choose to work a double-shift or single-shift at either the Straatmarket or the tent or a combination of the two (for double-shift). You may not sign up for a single shift on April 15th!

The school office will send links and instructions to all OCCS families at the signup times. Watch for those during the week of April 15th. Please email occsmonica@gmail.com or contact Dori De Groot with any questions.

Following is a list of youth workers and adults who are willing to work a shift for a suggested payment of $50. Please note the Unity students cannot work morning shifts on Thursday and Friday because they have school. Payments need to be dropped off at the school office before Tulip Festival and the committee will give your replacement their payment after they work your shift. Please have your payment in an envelope with the worker’s name written on the outside. Cash or check only, no Venmo.
