CLUB EVENT

Go Canada Go!

Thank you to everyone who attended the watch party on Sunday and made it such a huge success! Of course, the game didn't go the way I think we all hoped it would, but these are the kinds of club-wide events that truly emulate the culture of our club. On top of that, the fundraiser for the Sr. girls was a massive success... all thanks to our members. Truly a great morning, so thank you.

If you happened to take any pictures, videos, etc. at the event we would love to use them in our marketing! We have created a really basic Google Folder for you to drop them into if you don't mind sharing.

COMMITTED

MAYA GALKO

UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO

2005 Senior Elite Academy player, Maya Galko, has committed to the University at Buffalo for the 2023-24 season to play as a Bull! University at Buffalo is an NCAA Division 1 program that plays in the Mid-American Conference (MAC).

Maya has been a part of Ottawa TFC since her grassroots ages and has worked her way up through our Academy, following the talented player pathway. This past season, she was the captain for the U17G OPDL squad, and on top of that was ranked as the #1 recruit by FTF Canada You may also recognize her as the girl who heat pressed your jersey number on or who sold you a training shirt, as Maya has been giving back to the club for a couple of years working as part of our in-house equipment staff!!

Maya has been recognized, and selected, for the NDC program. She will be moving to Toronto full-time this upcoming winter to join the squad and train in the National Program.

We are so proud of all you have accomplished so far Maya, and this hasn’t even scratched the surface of what is to come for you! Your Ottawa TFC family is excited to send you on your new education and soccer journey, and you bet we’ll be cheering you on back home.

A new page on our website will be live shortly, where all the committed players from previous years will be posted.

PARTNERSHIP

OTTAWA TFC'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE ANOTHER COMMUNITY PARTNER

We have secured a new partnership with the Orléans franchise of Sport Clips Haircuts (www.sportclips.ca) that will mutually benefit our club, this community business, and anyone who needs a haircut!

How it works:

  • Visit the Sport Clips location at 2284 Tenth Line Rd. (corner of Brian Coburn Blvd)
  • Bring your Ottawa TFC branded coupon and receive $5 off any regular or junior haircut
  • For every haircut, our club will receive $5 to support our ongoing activities!

Tickets will be distributed to teams via managers and/or coaches or can be picked up at the clubhouse. This batch of coupons will expire on December 15th, 2022.

This partnership is just one of the many initiatives that your Board is focusing on to drive our mission to thrive as a financially healthy Club with strong community partners and sponsors.

We encourage you to use these coupons, or share them with family or friends, and help support our club through this unique venture.
