Through fundraisers and generous donations, the Alumni Association has, since 1996, awarded more than $90,000 in scholarships and stipends to eligible students. The amount of the scholarships and stipends is dependent upon funds available and the number of eligible applicants.

From the time of its organization, the alumni association has maintained a commitment to continuing education through scholarships and stipends to support our legacies as they pursue post-high school education. Fundraisers, donations pledges and a portion of banquet ticket sales

We want to increase our membership and for that, we need your participation. If you have been a member in the past, please renew – if not, please join. Membership dues are only $25 annually (January – December).

Categories of Membership

Any person who attended, graduated from, employed at John J. Wright High School, John J. Wright Consolidated School, Spotsylvania (Snell) Training School or would like to support the organization and pays the annual dues may become a member.

Regular Member – Any person who attended, graduated from, or was employed at Snell Normal School or John J. Wright Consolidated School and their descendants

Associate Member – Any individual who ascribes to the purposes of the Association and who pays the annual dues assessed by the association.

Honorary Membership can be bestowed at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
