Keep Snohomish in Bloom!

Summer in downtown Snohomish just wouldn't be the same without our iconic and stunning flower baskets! And thanks to donors like you, Snohomish will have even more baskets for the 2022 season. By partnering with the Historic Downtown Snohomish Association, the Snohomish Garden Club and the City of Snohomish, you can help ensure that Snohomish stays in bloom all summer long.

Commemorate a loved one or simply show your love for your favorite downtown! For your donation of $100*, you will help build and maintain one of our amazing flower baskets all summer long. You will also receive a map which indicates the location of your basket so you can visit it as often as you like and share its beauty with your friends and family. As a thank you, we will engrave a short message of your choice onto a commemorative wooden ornament which will be shipped to you in time for the holiday season.

For businesses that wish to sponsor a basket at the $500* level, HDSA will highlight your business as an official sponsor on our web page and will give you additional shout-outs on social media and our monthly newsletter. In addition, if your sponsorship is received before June 1st, your logo will appear on the map that is sent to all Snohomish Flower Basket Sponsors.

Let's celebrate our flowers in 2022!

The Historic Downtown Snohomish Association (HDSA) is excited to once again bring you a "Charming Day in Snohomish " charm walk. Join an HDSA Committee or Become a Board Member!

The Historic Downtown Snohomish Association (HDSA) Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the HDSA organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance, and financial management policies, as well as by making sure HDSA has adequate resources to advance our mission.

HDSA envisions the Snohomish Historic District as everybody's neighborhood. A vital center for businesses, residents and visitors alike that is vibrant, welcoming, clean and safe. A neighborhood that is conveniently located within the region and is a local small business hub that draws people back, time after time.

Why Is Community Involvement Important for Your Business?

Community involvement can serve as an invaluable platform for you to promote your products and services. It can also promote your values. When you engage in community involvement on a regular basis, you foster a positive workplace culture and build strong relationships with your local community.

In addition, you support people in need and change lives for the better. If you want to stand out among competitors, community involvement is the way to go.

We have 4 committees:

Organization Committee

Meets monthly, 2nd Thursday, 7:00 pm, Zoom

Involves creating a strong foundation for a sustainable revitalization effort, including cultivating partnerships, community involvement, and resources for the district.

Promotions Committee

The general purposes of this committee are to brainstorm and discuss downtown promotional ideas. Business owners share marketing successes and ideas to help inspire others. Committee members provide a corps of volunteers who help implement events and other HDSA Board approved promotional activities.

Economic Vitality Committee

Meets monthly, 3rd Thursday, 7:00 pm, Zoom

Economic Vitality focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators that drive local economies. Activities of the committee involves analyzing current market forces to develop long-term solutions.

Design Committee

How to support HDSA!

Here's how to shop AmazonSmile

2.      Sign in with your Amazon.com credentials.
3.      Choose a charitable organization to receive donations.
4.      Select – Historic Downtown Snohomish Association and shop away.

Couldn’t be easier – and it doesn’t cost you a penny more! Every month HDSA will receive a check from Amazon Smile. And the best part, you don’t need to get dressed up to go shopping!
Fred Meyer Community Rewards too!

This program makes fundraising easy by donating to HDSA based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your card to HDSA, all you have to do is shop at Fred Meyer/QFC and swipe your shopper’s card.

Here’s how it works: Create a digital account. If you already have a digital account, simply link your shopper’s card to your account so that all transactions apply. Enter Historic Downtown Snohomish Association.

The Snohomish Map and Directory

This map & directory represents hours of computer research, thank you Google, miles of walking and re=walking our streets, to assure that every building, business, service, ATM and city park was accounted for. Our goal is for the Historic Downtown District visitors to find you, shop, visit and share a meal in our town with the hope that they enjoy their time with us and return often. Please let us know of any corrections.

Such an undertaking! Maps are now in the 3 kiosks on 1st Street! And, look for the QR Code on merchants windows. You can use your smartphone camera to grab the QR Code and you can download a .pdf of the map.
