1st Quarter Report (7/1/2022 - 9/30/22)

Nov 2022 - Vol 3, Issue 1

Message from the Chair

As we embark on the busy holiday season, we are focused on gratitude. We are grateful for what we continue to achieve in line with our vision, mission, and values. We've had so many positive wins lately and we are grateful for hardworking teams within our department, across WashU, and among our hospital partners. We celebrate the news that we ranked No. 3 in the Nation for Obstetrics & Gynecology care according to U.S. News & World Report. Our hospital partner, Barnes-Jewish Hospital Barnes-Jewish again ranked #1 in the St. Louis metro region, #1 in Missouri, and #11 nationally, and was also placed on the Honor Roll of top 20 hospitals. Our residency program continues to celebrate being named #9 in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report and being ranked #10 by the 2022-2023 Doximity Residency Navigator.

We're excited to build on engagement and outreach activities with community partners and look forward to strengthening those relationships.

Please read on for additional highlights from our 1st quarter (FY23) and a couple of recent announcements.

Ever grateful for the people who make the Department of OB/GYN at WashU so great.

With gratitude,

Dineo Khabele, MD, FACOG, FACS (she/her/hers)
Mitchell & Elaine Yanow Professor and Chair

Clinical Spotlight: Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology

Our generalists in OBGYN are academic specialists within their field. They offer a team-based approach to care, which makes scheduling at both locations reliable and ensures a personalized delivery with a familiar face.

Our obstetricians deliver exclusively at the Women and Infants Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. And since all of our obstetricians are also general gynecologists, your care can seamlessly continue after pregnancy!
