Fitness Schedule: Holiday Hours

On Thursday, November 24th, The X Center will be closed. On Friday, November 25th, The X Center will be open 8:30 am - 5 pm (no tot drop and no group ex classes).

On December 24th, The X Center will be open 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (no tot drop and no group ex classes). The X Center will be closed on December 25th. On December 26th, The X Center will be open normal hours (no tot drop and no group ex classes).

On December 31st, The X Center will be open 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (no tot drop and no group ex classes). The X Center will be closed on January 1st. 

Attention: McCauley Park Playground CLOSED

Please excuse our mess! The park is now closed until construction is complete!

Toddler Time at The X Center

*NO TODDLER TIME, WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 23rd*

On Wednesdays, now through May 10th, join us at The X Center for Toddler Time beginning at 10:30 am! The program will feature activities like animal encounters (2nd Wednesday of each month), arts and crafts, book readings, sensory bins, dance parties, and open gym. The fee is $3 per person and kids 1 and under are free. 

Winter Basketball

Recreational Basketball is geared towards introducing and fostering interest in basketball. Emphasis is on learning the game and having fun.

Season Dates: Saturday, January 7th - February 11th, 2023.

Open To: Boys and girls ages 3 years old (must be 3 by January 7th) to 6th grade.

Location: Games are played at The X Center and Nixa Public Schools.

Fees: Members $42, Nixa Residents $47, Non-Residents $55.

Registration: Ends December 7th. Late registration from December 8th - December 11th with a $10 additional late fee. 

Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join the City of Nixa Mayor to kick off the holiday season! The Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 6 pm at The X Center.

This year's event will feature performances by Nixa Public Schools Choirs, CC Links CC Rhythm, holiday crafts, and hot chocolate and cookies sponsored by L.E.A.D. Nixa. Santa will be at the event with a live reindeer exhibit!

The event is free! 

68th Annual Nixa Christmas Parade

On Sunday, December 4th, Nixa will hold its annual 68th Christmas

Parade! This year’s theme is ‘A Cinematic Christmas’ pick your favorite Christmas movie to represent your parade entry. The parade will start at 2:00 pm.

Parade Route: Leaving from The X Center, the parade will travel west on North St., turn right on to Main (north) to Aven and turn left (west), take Aven to Fort St. (south), south on Fort St. to Wasson (west), west on Wasson to McCroskey (north), north on McCroskey to Lorene (East), east on Lorene to Main St. (north), north on Main St. to Short St. (east), East on Short St., to Frank (south), South on Frank to Kyle (East), East on Kyle to the back driveway of the Nixa Jr. High. Parade participants: registration will end on Monday, November 28th. 

Letters to Santa

Write to Santa, c/o Nixa Parks and Recreation, P.O. Box 395, Nixa, MO 65714. Please include an important event or accomplishment for 2022, a wish list, mailing address, email address, parent first and last name, and phone number. In order to receive your letter from Santa, he must receive yours no later than December 3rd, 2022. 

Recreational Soccer

Recreational Soccer is geared towards introducing and fostering interest in soccer. Emphasis is on learning the game and having fun. The league is open to boys and girls; it is comprised of 4 different divisions, 3&4 years old, 5 years old and Kindergarten, 1st/2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and 6th – 8th grade. Games for every division are on Saturday morning/afternoons.

Season Dates: Saturday, March 25th - April 29th

Open To: The program is open to boys and girls ages 3 years old (must be 3 by March 25th) to 8th grade.

Location: Games are played at McCauley Park and practices are held at Rotary Park.

Fees: Members $42, Nixa Residents $47, Non-Residents $55.

Registration: Begins December 5th, 2022 and ends February 15th, 2023. *Late registration from February 16th - 19th with a $10 additional late fee. 

Recreational Volleyball

Recreational Volleyball is geared towards introducing and fostering girls 3rd through 6th grade an interest in volleyball. Emphasis is on learning the game and having fun. 

Season Dates: March 20th/21st through April 17th/18th. 3rd/4th grade plays on Monday evenings; 5th/6th grade plays on Tuesday evenings. The season ending tournament will be on Saturday, April 22nd.

Open To: The program is open to girls in 3rd - 6th grade.

Location: Games will be played and practices will be held at The X Center.

Fees: Members $42, Nixa Residents $47, Non-Residents $55.

Flag Football

Recreational Flag Football is designed as an introduction to the sport, to build on skills, and to foster an interest in football. Participants will learn the basic skills and concepts of the game.

Season Dates: Saturday, March 25th with the six-game season

ending April 29th.

Open To: The program is open to boys and girls 3rd-6th grade.

Location: Games will be played and practices will be held at Rotary Park

Fees: Members $42, Nixa Residents $47, Non-Residents $55.

Indoor Garage Sale

The Indoor Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, February 25th, 2023, from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm. Entrance is FREE to the public.

Registration for booth spaces begins December 1st. Space is

limited—please register early! A 10x10 space is $20 and a 10x15 space is $30. Tables are available for $5 per table.

The X Center reserves the right to refuse any item inappropriate for sale in this event. No concession items allowed.
