Thanksgiving Luncheon Schedule and FAQs | |
FAQs:
Can I bring my child lunch?
Yes, parents may bring lunch for their child(ren) or the student can bring a personal lunch from home. However, students are not allowed to have food delivered through services like DoorDash, UberEats, or other food delivery platforms.
Are there regular cafeteria services provided that day?
No, during the Thanksgiving Luncheon, the only available meal option is the turkey plate. Students may bring their own lunch if they opt out of the turkey plate. Apache Dining (Snack Shack) is also closed for lunch.
How will my child know which lunch to attend?
On the morning of the luncheon, students will receive a colored wristband indicating their lunch period. Faculty and staff will be at the doors checking wristbands to ensure students attend the correct lunch. Students will be called over the PA system when it's time for them to report to the Student Center.
Where will my child go when not in lunch?
Students will follow the regular bell schedule. Freshmen and sophomores who usually have lunch during 4th period but are assigned a different lunch for the day will report to the gym. The same applies to juniors and seniors during 5th period.
Can my child leave after their lunch?
Students are not permitted to leave after lunch. If parents sign their child(ren) out early, the student will receive an unexcused absence for any missed class periods.
