Nonfiction at Night on Mon. Dec. 12 at 7p. Join us to discuss The Dinosaur Artist: Obsession, Betrayal, and the Quest for Earth's Ultimate Trophy by Paige Williams. Eric Prokopi hoped that the auction of his carefully reconstructed Tarbosaurus bataar skeleton would be a financial windfall and another great achievement in his decades-long fascination with finding and preparing fossils. Instead, it sparked an international controversy, a criminal investigation, and turned a spotlight on centuries of conflict over Earth's oldest treasures. Print copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk. eBook copies are available through Axis 360 with your FPLD library card.

Illinois Libraries Present: Shauna Sever on Tue. Dec. 13 at 7p. Join Shauna Sever, cookbook author, TV and radio contributor, and daughter of the great Midwest, for this special Illinois Libraries Present holiday season event. In conversation with Chicago Tribune food critic Louisa Chu, Shauna will share her love of food, baking, and some tips to make your holiday gatherings delicious. You can register for this Zoom event here: https://bit.ly/ShaunaSeverPlease note: This event is made possible by Illinois Libraries Present, a statewide collaboration among public libraries offering high-quality events.
