IPUL's E-News for February 16, 2024

This is mostly an "upcoming events" only edition, there's a lot of things on the way and we want to be sure you know they are coming.

Add your voice to the Idaho Special Education Advisory Panel

The Idaho Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP) has open positions available. Parents of children with disabilities and individuals with disabilities are vital members that represent a majority of the panel. If you are interested in serving, apply now

various members of SEAP

Add your voice to the Idaho Special Education Advisory Panel! Several members’ terms are ending soon.

Apply here https://ow.ly/YZBw50QyzBk

Meetings occur four times a year—most recently in Boise on Monday, February 5, 2024. While members serve without financial compensation, they may be reimbursed for expenses to attend the meetings.

The department requests that applications be submitted by April 1, to allow sufficient time for the review process -AND- to extend new members an invitation to join the next meeting on May 20.

WHAT: Advise the state!

WHY: The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires that Idaho establish and maintain a #SpecialEducation #Advisory #Panel (SEAP) that advises the department on the education of, and related services for, children with disabilities (ages birth through 26). Help Idaho students, families and schools!

The Advisory Panel looks forward to receiving your application! #Volunteer
