Changing leaves, dropping temperatures, pumpkin patches, apple cider… there’s so much to love about October. Yet this is also a wistful time...

October 2 after worship

Please come and learn about baptism at any age at Emanuel. We will provide childcare for this brief session. Contact Pastor Gaye if you have any questions.

New Members invite:

If you are interested in becoming a member at Emanuel, please contact the office or Pastor Gaye for more information. We will have new members join on Sunday, October 9.

Pastor Gaye will be on vacation Monday, October 3 through Friday, October 7.

Bertha Himelrigh’s funeral is scheduled at Emanuel on Monday, October 10 at 11AM. There are no calling hours or meal.

Pastor Office Hours return to Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9AM-1PM.

The video series, “The History and Archaeology of the Bible,” will restart on Thursday, October 13 at noon .

Change for Change offering benefiting Doylestown Share-A-Christmas will take place Sunday, October 16. We will be adopting children and purchasing items they need like clothes, coats, & shoes and a few fun gifts as well. Please gather your change and donate to this mission project.

We will give children’s Bibles to four Third grade students on Sunday, October 16 during worship. Join us for this special event.

A HUGE thank you to all who volunteered and donated to the yard sale. We made $3,474.00. It is amazing how God has blessed this yard sale each year.

Thank you, liturgists, for your service to Emanuel. We will be sending out the 2023 schedule in November. Please contact the office by October 16 if you have a change in your availability. We’re always happy to add members to the rotation! Please contact the office if you have any questions or concerns.

We will have Trunk or Treat in the church parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 29th from 1-3PM.

We will have a small parade around the trunk at 1PM and then trick or treating will begin after the short parade. There will be cookies and juice boxes on the church porch for all. Please enter the parking lot from the parsonage driveway and park in the area by the cornfield. You can exit the event through the cemetery driveway. This will keep the children safe from car traffic.

Come enjoy safe and fun trick or treating.

November 6

Please send names of departed loved ones to the church office by Sunday, October 23 to be included in our bulletin insert. You may also send digital photos to the church email by Oct. 23 to be included in a photo slideshow. We will include photos used in last year's presentation, so you do not need to resend previous photos. Thank you for being a part of Emanuel's remembrance of our departed members and loved ones.

Children’s Christmas Program will take place on Sunday, November 27 during worship to begin our Advent season.

Pastor Gaye and Tom received a wedding milestone at the reception provided by members on September 11 in the Fellowship Hall.

Weekly Lunch Gathering: We will be eating this Wednesday at One o'clock. Men and women; everyone is invited. Please call/text Nancy Swain (330.715.1790) for restaurant info.

Consistory is Zoom meeting Tuesday, October 11 at 7PM.

Missions is Zoom meeting on Tuesday, October 18 at 7PM.

Healing service will take place after worship on October 30.

Elders are Zoom meeting on Tuesday, November 1.

Fellowship Hall reservation: As the holidays are approaching, please email the office if you would like to reserve the Fellowship Hall.
