A PUBLICATION OF THE NORMANDALE PTO

MERCI POUR LES DONS!

Normandale's re-imagined winter party was a great success! Our school community creatively sought a way to promote a spirit of giving, linking family donations with physical activities that kids participated in to make something for others in need. The 5th grade ambassadors organized the donated items and created an amazing presentation for the entire school to describe the supported organizations: People Serving People, Children's Minnesota, People and Pets Together, and Meals on Wheels.

The energy in the room was incredible, with the kids cheering after they heard about each organization topped off with the kids swaying and singing their school song together with their arms wrapped around each other. Each grade cycled through the stations creating wellness & activity kits, placemats, and pet treats, sparking conversation about others in need, how others celebrate different holidays, and ways to give to others. Normandale got a special "shout out" from the school district in their In the Know newsletter for this heartwarming event. We look forward to making this an annual tradition.

INTERN INTROS

ÉVA ROMARY

First Grade – Scheiner

I live in the country, and study in a city called Nancy. I enjoy life a lot, I go out a lot with my friends, and I spend time with my family every weekend. I like to move around, go for walks, play sports and enjoy nature.

Favorite Foods: I eat everything, I'm not fussy about food. But I love Chinese and Japanese food.

In The US: During my stay in the United States, I'd love to visit the region and the country. I want to visit cities, tourist spots and natural areas (lakes, rivers, forests...). I can't wait to discover this region, Minneapolis and Edina, the activities that are available, my host family, the school and students.

Your support means greater academic opportunities for all students, today and into the future.

We are fortunate to be part of the Edina community that has a strong, valued and well-respected school system. However, to protect and enhance the value of our homes and property and the quality of life we enjoy, we must further invest in our public school system. Edina Education Fund contributes to the development and financial support of district-wide programs within Literacy, STEAM and Mental Health/Wellness Services for all students and staff.
