LICP 18th Annual Real Estate Breakfast Recap


Our 18th Annual Real Estate Breakfast took place on Wednesday, April 19 at Ravel Hotel and brought together about 300 attendees for a timely discussion on LIC's mixed use prominence post-COVID.


We thank our keynote speaker Dan Garodnick (NYC Department of City Planning), moderator David Brause (Brause Realty) and panelists Mitchell Arkin (Cushman & Wakefield), Shih Lee (SAPPS and SHI Restaurants), Yasmeen Ahmed Pattie (East Egg Project Management), and D. Rise Light & Power Welcomes U.S. Secretary of Energy to Ravenswood Generating Station


Rise Light & Power welcomed U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and Congressmember Nydia Velázquez to Ravenswood Generating Station on Vernon Boulevard on Tuesday, April 11. Secretary Granholm traveled from Washington to discuss how the Inflation Reduction Act and other federal clean energy investment will help spur the renewable energy redevelopment of legacy fossil fuel infrastructure across the country. In July 2022, Rise Light & Power released its Renewable Ravenswood plan, which sets the goal of retiring 1,800 MW of natural gas generators infrastructure in favor of renewable energy. Waste Setout Time Change Info Sessions


On April 1, the NYC Department of Sanitation implemented a new rule to reduce the time that trash, recycling, and curbside composting will sit on sidewalks. There is a one-month grace period in which businesses and residents will receive written warnings until May 1, 2023. Learn more at nyc.gov/SetoutTimes.
