Women in Healthcare Committee Schedules their Summer Social Event

The Women in Healthcare Committee is pleased to announce the date of their annual summer social. This event will be held on August 22, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Longue Vue Club on their Pink Patio. We invite all ACMS members and non-members to join us for a fun evening of networking, learning, and empowerment. This year, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Kristen Sandel as our featured speaker. Dr. Sandel is the 174th President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Registration for this event is OPEN. The cost is $15 for ACMS Members and $40 for non-members. Last year this event SOLD OUT, so you are encouraged to register early to secure your spot.

ACMS Physician Wellness Program Featured on Talk Pittsburgh

Executive Director, Sara Hussey, and ACMS Member Vint Blackburn, MD were featured on KDKA's Talk Pittsburgh this afternoon (May 20). Ms. Hussey and Dr. Blackburn discussed Physician burnout, and the launch of the ACMS Physician Wellness Program.

Virtual CME - May 21 | 6PM - 8PM

This virtual webinar with Jason Sutt, PTS and Dr. Denise Vanacore, will cover evidence-based prescribing and battling the opioid crisis in Pennsylvania. There will be two modules, and attendees will receive CME credit for both:

Module 4 Opioid Prescribing Guide
Module 3 Using the PDMP to Optimize Pain Management.

Attendees are required to complete the individual pre-event questionnaires for each module before the start of the program. This is free for ACMS members and non-members.

ACMS Night at the Pirates Game 2024

Let's Talk about the Tailgate!

ACMS members and their families are invited to attend our popular "ACMS Night at the Pirates Game" on August 24, 2024. In addition to a great night at PNC Park, registrants are invited to attend a pre-game Tailgate at the Babb Building. There will be a food truck with complimentary pre-game food and beverages for those attending the game. Additionally, the first 40 cars registered receive free parking in the Babb Building parking lot, which is just a short walk to PNC Park.
