With today being Veteran's Day in the USA I can only imagine that many of the readers of this newsletter has served. My family tree includes many Veterans including both of my grandfathers, my dad who served 24 years in the Air Force and my brother who enlisted in the army out of college. Be sure to thank a Veteran today!
Maybe the most interesting Veteran story on the family tree is my wife's maternal grandfather. Ira Frances served aboard the first submarine that left Pearl Harbor after the attack to go after the Japanese. He later earned his wings as an enlisted pilot and flew planes in the Pacific theater.
