Stand Against Racism 2024

YWCA Princeton is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We take a Stand Against Racism every day by raising awareness about the impact of institutional and structural racism and by building community among those who work for racial justice. This year, YWCA Princeton will honor its legacy of Stand Against Racism through a conversation with New York Times bestselling author Dr. Roxane Gay.

March marks Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This cancer, characterized by the absence of three common receptors on cancer cells, is aggressive and disproportionately affects women under 40, as well as African American and Latin X women. To support this cause, the Breast Cancer Resource Center is once again organizing a Lunch and Learn Event on Saturday, March 23, 2024, aimed at raising awareness of Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Lunch will be provided!

Meet July, ESL student

"Two years ago, I learned about the ESL program at YWCA Princeton. I enrolled in advanced conversation courses and enjoyed them very much. This fall, I learned about the new IET course in the field of Early Childhood Education. The course prepares Assistant Pre-School teachers. I thought it was an excellent opportunity for me because I would be employable upon graduation...The staff and teachers here are helping me to be more patient with the children and I am better because of them. I’m proud of myself for continuing to make progress and better my life here in the US."
