Applying Emotional Intelligence at Work
Emotional intelligence, also known as emotional quotient or EQ, refers to the ability to identify and manage one’s own emotions, as well as the emotions of others. There are few qualities that an employer appreciates more than those who demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and positively with their colleagues to communicate, solve problems, and handle conflicts.
Participants in this course will learn how to:
- interpret the concept of EI
- explore the characteristics of emotionally intelligent people
- identify ways to improve one’s emotional intelligence
- identify ways to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically, and to strategize methods to transfer this knowledge to the workplace
