From the author:

I am a freelance author with a passion for the great outdoors. My 40-year career as park ranger and supervisor at state parks and forests throughout Wisconsin has given me an intimate knowledge of these treasured public areas. As a ranger, I was often asked to interpret the unique geology, history, and wildlife of state parks and help visitors enjoy the many recreational opportunities available to them. My goal in writing a comprehensive book about our state parks and forests was to help readers learn a bit more and gain a new appreciation for Wisconsin’s most treasured public lands.
