Garry Tan, President and CEO of Y Combinator will be interviewed at the Economic Club of Washington D.C. by Club Board Officer Teresa Carlson, Board Member, General Catalyst.

They are expected to discuss, among other things, the success of Y Combinator and its Accelerator Program, the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship, technology, and investment in startup companies.

Y Combinator has spawned over 11,000 founders, including Airbnb, Dropbox, and Stripe - it is one of the most powerful forces in the tech industry. Around 5.5 percent of Y Combinator startups become unicorns, which means they’re valued at over $1 billion.
