Love Wins

by Rob Bell

Adult Christian Education

continues this weekend!

Available in several formats (including used) from Amazon, at local bookstores or the library.

Bell challenges Christian readers to examine their views on heaven, hell, damnation, traditions, and God’s love. Key points will be discussed from the chapter read before each session. This weekend's reading is Chapter 3, “Hell".

All sessions will be held in room 101, on Saturdays at 4:00 pm and Sunday mornings at 9:30am.

Dear Emmanuel Family,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the wonderful birthday cards and heartfelt wishes you sent my way. Your thoughtfulness truly touched my heart and made my special day even brighter.

In reflecting on your kindness, I am reminded of the words from Philippians 1:3-4: "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy." Your gestures of love and friendship have brought immense joy to my life, and I am incredibly blessed to have you in my circle.

Your words and blessings mean more to me than you may realize, and I am filled with gratitude for your presence in my life. Thank you for sharing in my celebration and for making it truly memorable.

With heartfelt appreciation and warmest regards,

Pastor Will

Barb's Medical Minute

A ton of people have food allergies….or do they?

  • A food allergy affects the immune system which overreacts to a food protein that it identifies as a harmful substance. The reaction can be diarrhea, hives, swelling of lips or tongue, difficulty breathing, or even anaphylaxis which can cause death.
  • A food intolerance, on the other hand, only affects the digestive system and causes much less serious symptoms.
  • Same thing goes for medications.

Babies aren’t born with allergies and the introduction of allergy foods early in life may help prevent future allergies, according to the Mayo Clinic. I’m glad my mom gave me peanut butter and cookie dough at 2 weeks of age because I don’t have an allergy to them!! Caramel and red licorice too…Just kidding.

Please keep the following people in your prayers:

  • Irma Baity
  • Michala Chipurnoi & family
  • Paulette Gates
  • Jean McMillan
  • Curtis Savenko
  • Marie VanNosdall
  • Laura Welch

Alicia Hutzelmann is giving thanks to God for the birth of her first great-grandson, Asher.

Prayers are offered for the family and friends of Kenneth Brecht who passed away this past Monday. Services were held on Friday.

Prayers are also offered for the family and friends of Mary Beth Runk who passed away Monday. Services are planned for March 1 @ Emmanuel. If you wish to send a card to the family, contact the office.
