Junior Zookeeper Program

Do you have a middle schooler or teen that has a passion for animals?

This unique educational experience offers the chance to learn what it takes to become a zookeeper! In fact, many of the staff members here at Miller Park Zoo got their start in the JZK program. Students will gain leadership and teamwork skills, learn how a zoo functions and learn how to care for the many animals that reside at Miller Park Zoo.

To enroll, a parent or guardian must attend one of the upcoming informational meetings. Meetings will be held

March 4, 5 & 6 from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the Miller Park Pavilion.

Rainforest Upgrades

Crews have been working hard this month to make needed upgrades in our rainforest/aviary building. A new bridge was built and the pond has been refinished with a new water system. These upgrades will greatly impact the amount of water that the zoo is able to conserve. Make sure to stop in during your next visit to the zoo!
