8TH GRADE CAREER EXPO!

The Foundation for Douglas County Schools presented the 12th annual 8th Grade Career Expo at the DCSD Legacy Campus on Wednesday November 2, 2022. Nearly 2,000 DCSD 8th Grade students visited with over 40 employers and had the opportunity to explore possible career pathways by asking questions, experiencing hands-on demonstrations and discovering possible career opportunities. Any Douglas County school is eligible to apply. Schools, sites or programs may request funding for up to three different projects in one school year.

2023 APPLICATION WINDOW OPEN THROUGH NOVEMBER 30TH

Opportunity Grants encourage and develop great teachers by supporting their professional development and helping make their ideas reality. Help to fund high priority projects and innovative approaches, which bring deeper meaning to curriculum and improve the educational experiences of students. Grants are funded through a combination of support from corporate partners and individuals in our community.

Celebrating Girls & Women in Sports

National Girls and Women in Sports Day was chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1986 to honor female athletic achievement and recognize the importance of sports participation for all girls and women. Douglas County School District Office of Athletics and Activities, along with The Foundation for Douglas County Schools, is excited to again work together to honor middle and high school girls who have been selected by their schools for their achievement and character at the annual Girls & Women in Sports Luncheon. Please join us in honoring our athletes by becoming a sponsor of this annual event on Friday, February 17, 2023.
