Library's Luminaries Resident Has Been Busy!
by Mandi Goodsett, Performing Arts & Humanities Librarian, OER & Copyright Advisor
For the 2021-2022 school year, CSU’s Michael Schwartz Library has elected to participate in the OhioLink Luminaries Program. This program gives one CSU student the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in the field of librarianship, information studies, and data sciences through a paid residency position at the library. The student works closely with a mentor, and gains valuable career skills, networking opportunities, and the ability to work on creative projects that will enrich students' experiences at the Michael Schwartz Library. This year's Luminaries student is Campbell Pratt, who has been working on two projects during the semester.

Contactless Pickup is Being Discontinued
by Donna Stewart, Web Specialist
The MS Library has discontinued Contactless Pickup, which initially began as a service during the 2020 fall semester to provide a safe, convenient method of retrieving library materials during the COVID pandemic. It was a popular and successful program: we provided nearly 1,000 requested materials via the contactless shelving in the Rhodes Tower lobby.
As the campus landscape and pandemic response has evolved, we have observed a dramatic reduction in requests for the contactless pickup option. Due to this decline in use, the MS Library has discontinued this service effective Friday, October 14, 2022 so that we may redirect our limited resources to more crucial efforts. We look forward to greeting you in person!
