SELECT Education Class Fees Can Be Paid By ETF

About the Employment & Training Fund. In 1991, the State Legislature established the ETF program to address the growing need to upgrade the job skills of Hawaii's workforce, created as part of a national movement that swept the country in the 1980s. Investing in human capital to improve productivity and the nation's quality of goods and services became a top priority. The Employer Referral ("micro") program is for individual businesses that need to upgrade the job skills of their employees.

BIA Hawaii is an approved Training Provider. ETF will cover 50% of the Non-Member course fee rate for select courses, up to a maximum of $400.

Castle & Cooke Honored with Ku Ku Hoʻokela
Developer of the Year Award

Castle & Cooke is proud to be among the distinguished companies honored by NAIOP at this year’s Kukulu Hale Awards. Individually, we build homes, schools, shopping centers, and more. Together, we build community—places where people come together to live, learn, work, play, and share experiences.

Starting with Castle & Cooke’s flagship master-planned community of Mililani which began development in 1968, and leading up to Koa Ridge, the company’s newest community in Central Oʻahu, we’re proud of our unmatched legacy of helping local families realize their dream of homeownership and building communities where residents can live, grow, and thrive.

Hawaii’s first “surban” planned community, Koa Ridge is a unique concept that combines the conveniences of urban living with the beauty and wide, open spaces of a suburban neighborhood. At Koa Ridge, residents are always just a stroll or bike ride away from shopping, dining, entertainment, and services via the 7.5-mile Hoʻala Trail pedway.
The Village at Koa Ridge
The heart of the community, the Village and The Gateway will feature sidewalk cafes, retail shops and restaurants, and other places to gather, swap ideas, talk story, and live aloha.
Kalāhikiola Park
The natural beauty of Koa Ridge makes it an idyllic place for fitness and good health. Kalāhikiola Park and the 7.5-mile Ho‘āla Trail invite residents to spend time outdoors.

The Construction Training Center of the Pacific (CTC) is a one-stop comprehensive training and educational resource center established by the Building Industry Association of Hawaii as its workforce development arm. The CTC provides academic and vocational training, career counseling, job awareness, and related supportive services that address critical labor shortages in the rapidly expanding construction industry.

BIA Hawaii offers a full range of seminars and continuing education classes to empower you and your employees with the latest information on industry standards.
The best design, construction, and forensic experts understand that they do not work in a vacuum or develop their components in a silo, independent of other building counterparts.

Due to the complexity of buildings, for every one issue that is being addressed, a number of other factors must also be considered in order for the building systems to be able to perform in an integrated manner.
