News from the Middlesex Chamber - April 2024

Member Spotlight: Easterseals NJ

Easterseals New Jersey is a nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities and those who care for them by providing opportunities to live, learn, work, and play in their communities.

The term “Work” is right there in our mission, recognizing how important it is for people of all ability levels to secure gainful employment.

Employment opportunities are often limited due to the stigma many individuals apply to people with disabilities, assuming they either cannot work or are limited to do only certain jobs.

In our Employment Services Programs, we help break down those barriers by training our program participants to be competitive in the job market. We also work with potential employers to help break preconceptions and support their process of hiring hard-working employees with disabilities.

With 1 in 4 Americans identifying as having a disability, it’s too large an employment pool for employers to ignore, but often, they aren’t sure how to get started.

Easterseals New Jersey’s job coaches and managers are here to help with that transition, so both the employer and employee have the greatest chances for success in their new venture.

If you’d like to learn more about how you can hire professionals with disabilities, visit eastersealsnj.org or call us at 855.215.4541.

“Being a member of the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce has opened the doors to establishing partnerships with employers and educating company’s about Easterseals New Jersey," said Danielle Androvich, Manager of Supported Employment.
