👩🏼⚕️Farewell to a Lung Health Champion: Barb Walls Retires from NB Lung⚕️
After over a decade of unwavering dedication, NB Lung is bidding a fond farewell to our Director of Health Promotion, Barb Walls. Since 2009, Barb has been a vital part of our organization, tirelessly working to improve lung health in New Brunswick, and building a legacy of compassion and impact.
Her time with us has been marked by countless acts of kindness and support, guiding more than a hundred transplant patients through their challenging journeys, offering them advice, hope, and comfort.
Her passion for public health was evident in her role as a presenter and a lung health advocate. She has delivered smoking cessation programs to schools province-wide, and contributed to lung health strategy committees across the country. Barb had also worked to streamline patient care through improving access to life-saving medications and increasing financial support for New Brunswickers requiring care outside the province, ensuring they receive the assistance they deserve.
As Barb embarks on this new chapter, we’re celebrate her remarkable contributions to lung health and bid her a fond farewell. Though she may be retiring from NB Lung, her impact will continue to resonate, inspiring us all to strive for a healthier, more compassionate world. Thank you for your service, Barb!
