SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Champlain Parkway Project is resuming construction activities for the 2023 construction season beginning on Monday, April 17.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS:
Please note, all work will be restricted to between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone. All roadway and lane closures will reopen during the evening hours and on weekends unless otherwise noted. Access to residential and business driveways will be maintained throughout the work unless alerted otherwise. Businesses will remain open!
Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21, Home Avenue, Briggs Street, Batchelder Street and Sears Lane will be reduced to a single lane with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Street parking along Briggs Street will be permanently removed and motorists should anticipate a gravel driving surface.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21, crews will be installing waterline along Home Avenue under a single-lane closure.
Crews will begin road reconstruction along Briggs Street. The crews will remove and replace 2.5 feet of gravel, leaving a packed gravel driving surface until paving can be completed. Paving operations are anticipated to begin in May and are weather dependent.
Crews will be installing stormwater infrastructure on Batchelder Street under a single-lane closure.
Another crew will be installing curb on Sears Lane under a single-lane closure.
A crew will be installing signal pole foundations on Flynn Avenue outside of the roadway.
Independent utility companies may be in the project area relocating aerial utilities throughout the week.
