MPBID 4th Annual Meeting of membership

It is again the time of the year when MPBID members come together to celebrate the work of the BID for the Morris Park Avenue commercial corridor, and elect a new slate for the Board of Directors.

This year our Annual Meeting will take place on Monday November 14, 11am as a hybrid meeting: on zoom (preferred) - see information available here;

or in person (limited-capacity, registration required at Eventbrite here) at Patsy's Pizza Morris Park at 980 Morris Park Avenue, 11am-12pm. We thank all businesses and community members for the ongoing support.

Grand opening and mixer: Contour Mortgage

Today! Grand Opening and Mixer - hosted by Contour Mortgage - at 827 #MorrisPark Avenue - with food and refreshments from neighboring @catrina_restaurant! Pass by to wish them well after 4:30pm - congratulations!!

New banners installed by MPBID ahead of the holiday season

We are happy to inform the community that MPBID started installing new banners along Morris Park Avenue, for a renewed, polished look for the corridor ahead of the holiday season. Installation started on the west side of the MPBID district, and will continue on the east side over the next weeks. We hope that over the next couple of years, with the support of local elected representatives,

more of the outdated wooden poles especially on the east side of Morris Park Avenue, will be replaced with modern, metallic M-poles, in the historic style currently in place on the west side of the MPBID district.

Reminder - foliage may block rainwater catchment basins

Property owners: Please remember to clean up fallen leaves covering street catchment basins - to ensure proper and maximum water drainage capacity during rain events- thank you! Photo: 11/9/22, corner Radcliff Ave and Van Nest Ave, #MorrisPark

Trick or Treating at the MPBID

Thank you to all #MorrisPark children and families visiting and sharing smiles with us today! Happy Halloween - we look forward to seeing everyone again next year! Thank you all for supporting Morris Park local businesses

Beautification, clean-up and environmental work in Morris Park's green spaces: Morris Park Community Garden and Matthew Muliner Playground

MPBID and local volunteers had two great days of community service, cleaning up green spaces and planting daffodil bulbs. On October 23, 2022, we were at the Morris Park Community Garden, with 2 large bags of 800+ daffodil bulbs that were planted by MPBID and community volunteers. Thanks New Yorkers for Parks for the bulbs! The #daffodilproject is a city-wide initiative honoring each year the memory of 9/11. The following Saturday October 29, we were out again this time at Matthew Muliner Playground. It was a beautiful day with amazing volunteers in #MorrisPark at Matthew Muliner Playground - huge thanks to the Delancey Place Nature Trail, students, Partnerships for Parks, and NYC Parks #daffodilproject - making the #Bronx cleaner and greener together! Over 1000 daffodil bulbs , 17 bags of leaves , 6 bags of trash (and 3 pizzas! - we THANK EVERYONE so much for your positive energy and hard work!

Welcome new business: Azal Restaurant at 701 Morris Park Avenue

We were happy to welcome a brand new business at 701 Morris Park Avenue. On Thursday, October 20, 2022 Azal Restaurant had its grand opening. We thank Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez for joining us in celebrating the success of our small businesses on Morris Park Avenue.
