A note from your pastoral team:
Knowing God
The first generation of Israelites in the wilderness had only known God for a few months when He asked them to follow Him into the Promised Land. They couldn’t bring themselves to do it. So God sent them back into the wilderness for forty years.
The wilderness can be a bleak and challenging place. It was for the Israelites. But God used those forty years to reveal Himself. When the second generation’s time came to step out in faith, they were ready.
We prayed that all of NHC would recognize that God does some of His best work in us while in the wilderness. We prayed, that in challenging times, our hearts would be open to what God is teaching us.
NHC Sunday School
Would you like a chance to be an influencer to the youngest generation at New Hope Chapel? The Sunday School program needs several adults to be available to substitute from time to time should a regular teacher be unable to teach.
Please see Julie Coleman for more details or send an email to coleman.julie@gmail.com.
We would so appreciate your support!
Announcements will be coming soon about Sunday school recess for the summer months.
NHC Faith Statement
We had a rousing conversation over a potluck dinner this past Sunday, talking about our proposed Statement of Faith. We have taken all our notes from your feedback and suggestions, and are incorporating them into the proposal. We will get everything back to you before May 5. There will be two weeks to review, then we hope to have a Steward’s Meeting on May 19 to ratify the new Statement of Faith.
If you have more feedback, please send it to us:
