The 2024 Excelsior & Professional Service Awards Call for Submissions Are Open February 19, 2024 Registration Deadline


AIA New York State, in partnership with the New York State contracting agencies, has created the Excelsior Awards to provide a model of excellence for state-funded building design, professional practice, and advocacy. NY Statewide Preservation Conference

April 15th - 17th Memorial Art Gallery


The NY Statewide Preservation Conference, presented by Rochester Colonial, is returning to Rochester, NY. The Conference will take place at the Memorial Art Gallery (500 University Avenue), and will have a variety of off-site tours and field sessions in the works. Early Bird Registration will open on February 14th. Sponsorships opportunities are available (contact Becky Timmons at [email protected]) if you're interested.

SUNY Morrisville’s Agricultural and Clean Energy Technology Center is a 34,000 square foot laboratory facility for the Agricultural Engineering/Diesel Technology and Renewable Energy programs.


Exceeding energy codes by 62 percent in efficiency, ACET boasts a commercial solar array that generates enough renewable energy to offset the building’s carbon emissions, giving students hands-on knowledge of how those systems interact to improve building efficiency and offset its carbon footprint.


AIA National Architecture Week April 14-20, 2024


Calling all K-12 advocates: The focus of Architecture Week this year is students! If your firm is hosting an event, engaging on social media, sharing a wish list for your K-12 program, inviting students to future events, sending a letter to your local schools or libraries, or are actively engaging with students throughout the week, we want to hear from you! 2024 AIA Rochester Scholarship Program


AIA Rochester, in conjunction with AIA National, and the Rochester Architecture Foundation announces the 2024 Scholarship Program.


The scholarship program is open to high school seniors committed to an architecture program for the Fall 2024 term and college students currently enrolled in an architecture program for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. Students meeting the above criteria must have a permanent residence within the seven-county area of Monroe, Wayne, Livingston, Ontario, Yates, Allegany and Seneca counties, or Greater Rochester member-firm areas served by AIA Rochester.

All applications must be postmarked by: April 12, 2024
