Join us for the UETF Resiliency Residency Exhibition and Showcase on Thursday, April 20th at the South Broadway Cultural Center! The opening reception is 5-7 pm and the showcase begins at 7pm in the John A Lewis Theatre.

Balloon Museum Annular Eclipse Temporary Art Project
Call for artists for a temporary art project for the 2023 Annular Eclipse Event at the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum
The Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum Temporary Art Project aims to activate the Balloon Museum's celebration of the 2023 Annular Eclipse which will take place during the 51st Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta®, October 7-15. The Balloon Museum is located at the center of the eclipse path where maximum obscuration of the Sun in Albuquerque will be at 10:35 am.

Four primary sites have been identified for digital, light projections, 2D and 3D art, and more, but other sites may be available. Conceptual proposals around themes that include science, flight, exploration, and astronomy are encouraged. Four artists and their projects will be selected for an award of $10,000 each.

Sandia Science & Technology Park Public Art Project
Call for artists to commission a large-scale, site-specific outdoor work of art for the Sandia Science & Technology Park
The Albuquerque Arts Board and Sandia Science & Technology Park (SS&TP) have partnered to offer an opportunity for artists to collaborate with scientists and innovators from the SS&TP resident companies to develop technology-based public art for the area.

Founded in 1998, the SS&TP is a 340-acre, master-planned technology community. Associated with the Sandia National Laboratories and adjacent to Kirtland Air Force Base, SS&TP resident companies have access to world-class facilities, technologies, scientists, and engineers.

McKinley County Courthouse Site-Specific Commission Project
The Art in Public Places Program of New Mexico Arts and the Local Selection Committee (LSC) of McKinley County seek to commission 1 to 3 artists/artist teams to create and install artwork in specified areas of the McKinley County Courthouse Rotunda in Gallup, New Mexico. Located in the center of Downtown Gallup, the county courthouse requires artwork that captures the cultures and celebrates the diversity and pride of living in McKinley County.

Five finalists will be selected and paid $1,000 + travel expenses to create and present a formal proposal. A total budget of $97,825 is split between the three identified installation sites for commissioning artworks.

Applications Now Open for Arts & Culture's CityMakers Program
The City of Albuquerque's Department of Arts & Culture is recruiting up to three local creatives for its CityMakers program. Now in its third year, CityMakers brings Albuquerque artists - and their creativity - into the public sector to support and develop project that positives impact and inspire communities.

The incoming group will work on collective and individual projects in partnership with a variety of City departments from July 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024. Applicants must be current Albuquerque residents. Team members will be contracted as temporary city employees with an hourly wage of $20.43 for 16 - 24 hours per week.

Animal Welfare Department Seeks Local Artists to Create Paw Prints Artworks
City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department is looking for local animal-loving artists to create artworks for their "Adopt an Artist Companion" adoption event on April 29 - 30th.

Participating artists will meet with one of the adoptable dogs or cats and use the dog's or cat's paw prints to create a unique piece of art. These pieces will be on exhibit and for sale in the shelter lobby during the adoption event. All proceeds from the sale will go towards the city shelter's homeless pets.
