We are no longer approaching the borders of Canaan; we have arrived and the only thing awaiting us is our deliverance.
From here on the next few years will prove to be significant as far as last day events are concerned. I am sure you have seen it and are experiencing it. More than any other people Adventists aught to be in the frontline of proclamation regarding the things that are shaping right before our eyes.
With natural disasters, political and economic crises looming, loss of basic freedoms, and moral depravity such as not seen since the days of the antediluvian race one must pause and wonder where are we going in the stream of things? Natural disasters are no longer just occurring occasionally, near or far but they are occurring with more frequency in more places and with greater intensity. Just look at what’s going on in California, for more than a decade the entire state was in a draught and now crazy weather systems are threatening the entire state. With such headlines as “California Floods,” “California Went Under WATER,” “Is California Sinking into the Ocean?” and “Will Rising Seas Drown the California Dream?” no wonder people’s hearts are filled with fear, and they are wondering what on earth is going on? The threat of WW3 is making people all around the globe fearful, and they are holding their breath.
Many are stockpiling on necessities and the rich are buying private nuclear bomb shelters for the emergency they are convinced is coming soon. The political declension in America and the division it has created is no longer threatening our liberties, it is now hacking away at them, and people are powerless to stop it.
At this time more than ever before Adventists ought to be actively preaching the three angel messages to a dying world, especially we should be proclaiming the third angel message.
“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Revelation 14:9-12
Who is this message intended for and who must proclaim this message? It is intended for the lost in the last days, and as verse 12 clearly says, it is the commandment keeping saints that proclaim the message and they do it with patience. We are to proclaim the message “with a loud voice” (with clarity, urgency, and firmness) warn people not to “worship the beast and his image,” (the ways, plans, and methods of the Papacy, especially its DAY OF WORSHIP or its image, its theology, its political system and rule over the nations). Warn the people that they “shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture (without mercy) into the cup of his indignation.” That they shall be “tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.” Yes, we are to be crystal clear about what God intends for us to do, filled with fear and love for God and the desire to save mankind we are to go forward proclaiming this most powerful message of mercy to a dying lost world. Let us faithfully search our own hearts and seek God to clear the way from all idols and spiritual coldness as we cooperate with Him, preaching the Word of life to the lost. God help us all to be faithful!
