A message from our Missions Pastor

Hey Legacy Family,

I want to take this moment to thank you for your faithfulness in giving to our general fund. Your generosity has allowed us to assist church plants, missionaries, local partners, community outreaches, and oversea projects, advancing the Kingdom of God to all those who need to hear! It is an honor leading in Missions with a church family like yourselves.

Testimony time!! We had a wonderful start to the month of April! Legacy Church had a great opportunity to serve Real Options' clients at this year's Real Options Family Fest outreach. We helped with the food, checked people in, hosted two carnival-style games (everyone went home with at least one prize), and helped with the Easter egg hunt. We met lots of families and enjoyed seeing the children playing the games and participating in the Easter egg hunt. I praise God for putting together an incredible team from Legacy Church that was able to assist in many different areas!

Missions Sunday is April 16th! I am so excited to share all the things the Lord is doing through our Church. This time we are doing our service a little differently. We have invited special guests who will share some of the things that are happening in their ministries, from the stage and in our atrium. You will be able to hear from our local partners, the lead director of Heart4Mexico, Children's Hunger Fund, and more! Don't miss these next few weeks of church!

On April 24th, I am traveling to Nicaragua with a team from Compassion International. We will visit multiple church plants and return back to the US on April 27th. Please keep us in your prayers that week.

We are asking you, Legacy Church, to join us in prayer all year long. Each month throughout 2023, we will focus on specific prayer initiatives for our church to pray over, together. In April, our prayer focus is on Legacy Church's impact on our community.

The early church was marked as people full of faith (Acts 8:6), given to study of the words and prayers (Acts 4:31, 6:4), and full of the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4, 4:8a). In Acts 8:5-8 we read a story of how God used a man named Philip to bring impact and joy to a city by preaching the Word and the work of miracles. Peter, in Acts 9:39-42, raised a dead woman named Dorcas and many came to believe in the Lord because of the work of miracles. Many such examples are written throughout the Scriptures for our edification. So, for us to impact our community as a church, we also must give ourselves to prayers, study the Word, walk in the Spirit, and constantly abide in the Lord, for without Him we can do nothing (John 15:1-5).

Pray for Legacy Church’s Impact on our Community

• Pray that our Impact Shares & Shows the Love of Christ
• Pray for Testimonies from the Work Done For Christ to be Glorified
• Pray for our Local Partners and that our Work Softens the Hearts of Non-Believers

Thanks to your faithful giving to the General Fund, in addition to Legacy's monthly giving to our mission partners, we celebrate:

• Project Suma - $5,000 for the rental of safe homes for the rescued girls and women
• Real Options - $1,000 for Family Fest supplies, prizes, and donation
• UTD Baptist Student Ministry - $50 for giveaways for the International students

Children's Hunger Fund Food Pak Boxes

Thank you Legacy Church. With our 254 Food Pak Boxes and monetary donations last month, we provided 8,755 meals for families in our DFW community! Well Done Church!

Special shout-out to Legacy Kids who collected food items and had a packing party during their Sunday morning worship. Also, a huge thank you to Jeff Flovin and his co-workers at Data Center Systems. Once again they partnered up with us and packed 100 Food Pak boxes. Thank you again for supporting our mission campaign at work!
