It's Nearly Scarecrow Time!!!

Let's give a high five to the 85+ businesses and 11 community organizations that signed up to decorate and display a scarecrow in The 6th Annual Scarecrow Walk.

We're thrilled there will once again be more than 100 scarecrows displayed around town. Participants should have scarecrows up starting Oct. 8 until Oct. 31.
If you’ve participated in the walk before and you hold a frame for last year, you know the drill. Now is your time to get creative and start decorating the heck out of your frame.

If you're new to the promotion, or need a new frame,
Frames are Now Ready for Pick-up
Get your frames from the BIA Office, located at 20 Main St. N., Unit 2 (behind Magnolia House Spa). The office is open M-F, between 9 AM and 5 PM - but we suggest you call first (Adam at 289-260-6841) to confirm someone will be at the office.

Don't Forget to Display Your Scarecrow For All to SEE
It should be visible to scavenger hunters even when your business is closed (outside is best - or in a front window or entryway/doorway).

There will be Shopping Spree prizes for lucky scavenger hunt winners, plus
two business prizes for favourite scarecrows as selected by the 'People', including:
 (1) $100 gift card (to a BIA business of winner’s choice)
 (1) $50 gift card (to a BIA business of winner's choice)
Seeking More Treat Walk Participants
Sat., Oct. 29, 11 - 2 PM

Do you want to hand out Halloween treats from your business location on Oct. 29?

Or, would you like to donate treats to be included in goodie bags handed out at one of two Treat Stations on Oct. 29? (Goodie bag sponsors will be listed on the bags)?

We have a full roster of fun activities lined up to bring people into Waterdown Village on Oct. 29. The more businesses involved in handing out or donating treats - the more fun guests will have and the more likely they'll be to visit and remember YOUR business.

Please check the list of participating businesses HERE. If we've missed your business, or you haven't yet signed up for the Treat Walk and want to, please let us know here. This is your last chance to make sure your business name is printed in the direct mail brochure.
