CHECK-OUT PROCESS

Students are expected to check out within 24 hours after their last final exam.

Checkout times will be available during the following times:

  • From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily from May 1 to May 10
  • From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on May 11
  • ALL students - regardless if you are doing an express checkout - must sign up for a checkout time BEFORE Wednesday, May 1.
  • To sign-up, please follow the instructions you will receive from your Community Director.

RL&H offers two types of checkouts:

EXPRESS

  • WHO: Students in a double room who are not the last person checking out.
  • WHAT: Move out, clean room, sign express checkout envelope, & place key(s) in envelope and drop at your Community Office.
  • NOTE: Students participating in Express Check-Out waive the right to appeal for fines/damages.

STANDARD

  • WHO: Any student; however all students in single rooms and the last person checking out of a double room must do a standard check-out.
  • WHAT: Move out, clean room, meet RA at your scheduled time, walkthrough room with RA, return key to RA, & sign Check-Out Form.

After your check-out, your door will be locked and

you will not be able to return.

Please note that check-out may be withheld by staff due to conditions in individual rooms, sections of buildings, the community overall, etc.

Cleaning supplies will be available from your Community Office.

Depending on which community you live in, you may be asked to only complete an express or standard check-out. Look for future messages around scheduling your move-out to confirm.

Your hall staff will send reminder emails with

community-specific information as closing approaches.

Again, if you have any questions, please get in touch with your Community Staff or our Office.

Best wishes for a successful end of the semester!

Thank you -
