Welcome to Techsil's Summer Newsletter!
What excitement we've all witnessed in the past few weeks as the UK tries to come to terms, both politically and economically, with the Brexit fallout.
As usual, Techsil is bucking the trend, and while others are clamouring to get out of the commercial property sector causing fund managers to close their schemes, we have just made a major investment and acquired the building we've been trading from since our big move 3 years ago.
For us, this demonstrates some sanity, surety and stability in all the madness and will give us more freedom and flexibility to continue our expansion into the future, regardless what the Politicians throw at us.
Hopefully, we can all show the so called 'leaders' some leadership, so let's keep trading, keep building, keep manufacturing and keep our heads.

New Light Curable Adhesive with Multiple Viscosity Options

uces a newly developed U
V adhesive, Vitralit® 7311 and will be available in three different viscosities - low, medium flow and a non-flowing gel. All three variations provide excellent adhesion to plastics like Polycarbonate, PVC, ABS and PMMA, as well as to metal and glass. Vitralit® 7311 is resistant to alcohols and humidity and is transparent and non-yellowing. Once cured the adhesive is viscoplastic. For use in medical applications Vitralit® 7311 is currently being tested according to USP Class VI and DIN ISO 10993-4/-5 standards.

Case Study: Adhesive Foam Tape Seals the Deal
The world of tapes can be a confusing one - a multitude of options are available with different adhesions; performance abilities; functions, not to mention thicknesses, widths and compositions. In this case study Techsil worked with Corporate Engineering Ltd, specialists in odour control covers.
At Techsil the chains of command are short and the ability to work with both speed and flexibility provide a direct benefit to customers. In this example the customer was provided with their solution on the first phone call to Techsil. Within 15 minutes of the call ending the bespoke listing was not only live on Techsil's website and ready to order, but due to the time urgency, the rolls were cut to size ready for despatch as soon as the order came through. The rolls were despatched on a next day courier service which provides the customer with a 1-hour delivery window notification.

UV Light Systems for Post Cure of SLA 3D Printed Parts
Using the SLA 3D printing method with UV light curable resins can be a quick, efficient process but often needs additional post-cure to ensure the part reaches its full strength; or for reworking or repair. Techsil supply UV flood lamps, spot curing systems and UV light curing chambers for bench top applications or automated production lines.
