Schoology and SeeSaw
As we enter the fourth quarter, now may be a great time to try out a few features in Schoology and SeeSaw that can lead to full use next school year.
Let's start with Schoology. One of the most significant time savers that Schoology offers is the ability to create online assessments that mimic state assessments and then have the assessment self-graded. Check out this How To site to develop assessments in Schoology. Another time saver is the ability to have the grade from the assessment synced to Infinite Campus. This 2-minute Loom video created by Patti Talarczyk (HS Instructional Coach and Math Teacher) goes over the steps to syncing grades from Schoology to Infinite Campus. We have over 30% of the teachers in the district using the sync grades feature in Schoology. If you need further assistance, please get in touch with your instructional coach.
In SeeSaw, teachers across the district have been adding resources to the School and District Library. To date, there are over 1,800 resources in this location. Take a few minutes to search by grade or subject and save some time by using an activity already created by one of your colleagues! Also, here are some great SeeSaw lessons to end the year. After you click on the link that opens up the slide, click on a grade level which will open up a clickable PDF.
GIF of the Month - How to Capture a Portion of your Screen
Each month our IT Techs will share a GIF to remind you of an essential item related to Technology in Mentor. This month's GIF shows how to take a picture of a portion of your MacBook screen using shortcut keys. This is a great way to share anything on your screen! It is also helpful if you are having an IT issue and need to share what is coming up on the screen!
IT Tips and Tricks

A Little IT Humor!
Doug always manages to keep things light around our IT office, so each month, he will share something funny relating to the articles in IT News and Notes. We continue to emphasize the importance of changing your password (All of our past IT News and Notes can be found HERE, including how to change your password). Even though this password would not meet our minimum requirements, we thought it might get a chuckle!
