Mayor Adam and staff visit Omeat facility

A couple weeks ago, Mayor Adam and city staff had an opportunity to tour Omeat's facility right here in Thousand Oaks. Omeat opened its Thousand Oaks facility in late 2023, not long after emerging from stealth mode with $40 million. The company is developing cultivated meat from animal plasma and is advancing through the regulatory process to bring its slaughter-free, environmentally-conscious alternative to market. During our visit, Mayor Adam and city staff learned about current on-site operations, future plans and potential, high-quality local jobs, and more. We are thrilled Omeat doing its innovative work right here in Thousand Oaks!
