Love Your Body Week is here at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC)! We have partnered with Body Positive at the Beach and Beach Pride Events for this exciting event. This week emphasizes the importance of embracing your body and spreading positive energy throughout the Beach community. There are various SRWC activities dedicated to impacting the mind and body.

Swimming is Meditation for the Mind and Body

April is Autism Awareness Month. Whether you know someone who is neurodivergent or not, it is important to recognize that the brain works differently for this population of people. With finals week approaching, many people recommend mediation or relaxing exercises to refocus. As someone who identifies as neurodivergent, this type of relaxation makes it ten times harder to concentrate and wind down.

Rock Climbing Classes

Make your way to the top with the SRWC's Rock Climbing Classes! Spaces fill up fast, so come early and get prepped to learn! Pick from different levels to fit your climbing needs. Are you a pro looking for challenge? Custom/advanced classes are available upon request for $17 per student or $22 per non-student.

Safety Certifications

Basic Life Support and Heart Saver in the SRWC help save lives! These programs include First Aid, AED and CPR. Lifeguard certification is also offered by American Red Cross April 13 and 14. Learn how to ensure safety for yourself and others from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.! Visit Basic Life Support April 26 from 1:30 to 5 p.m. and Heart Saver March 22 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
