Get Ready for Boating

FLIBS, TIBS, Miami and Palm Beach Boat Shows are now behind us and it's time for all of us to get ready for another boating season. After 30 years at Hucks, it still amazes me how fast the seasons change from haul out to boat shows to launch and, of course, the reason we do this..... SUMMER!

On my way home from Florida yesterday, I was thinking about how many of our customers from both sides of the River we were able to meet at these Shows. One common conversation from our American customers, about 1/3 of Hucks' overall business, is how easy we make it for them to purchase their new boat even though we're in Canada. Many long term customers tell us they enjoy the service support (dock pick up and delivery, tech support in season and winter work programs) that we extend after the sale. The common theme with everyone was the enthusiasm to return to the River.

My favourite part of travelling home from the Syracuse Airport happens when I cross the 1000 Islands Bridge and see an open River below.

Over the past 26 years, Sue wore many hats with us including taking great care of your Sea-Doo requests. She recently announced that she's excited to start a new chapter in the London, Ontario area and her last day with us is March 28th. We're eternally grateful for Sue's valued contributions as we built our service business. While we'll greatly miss Sue, we wish her all the best!
