Launch of Nuclear Disarmament Advocacy & Research Program Fund

In honor of the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, Pathways To Peace is pleased to launch the Nuclear Disarmament Advocacy & Research Program Fund dedicated to supporting new program initiatives, research, and expanding our regional impact on nuclear disarmament.

The Nuclear Disarmament Advocacy & Research Program was formed and launched by our Program Coordinator, Rinor Jani, in 2020 after receiving permission from Pathways To Peace Co-founder and previous President, Avon Mattison. The program focuses on shifting the discourse on nuclear weapons, developing research, and securing support for the adoption of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) globally and in Albania.

Since then, our program has published the first national research assessment on the TPNW in Albania, organized high-level conferences on nuclear disarmament, consulted with parliamentarians and members of the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and secured support from local municipal governments and civil society for the TPNW.

We are now working to expand our program's impact to support nuclear disarmament in surrounding countries in the Balkan region, globally, and at the United Nations. You can support our program by making a donation through the link below, thank you.
