Q&A with Rob Higgins
September 2022 is the last month on the SAR office calendar for Executive Vice President Rob Higgins, after leading the office, staff, and day-to-day operations of the association for 37-years.

Rob retires at the end of this month. Next week's board meeting will feature a cake to celebrate his retirement.

“The first thing we need to say to Rob is ‘thank you,’” says 2022 SAR President Eric Etzel.

“So many days he got here early, stayed late, and literally shoveled ice berms out in the parking lot so members and staff could access our building.

I want Rob to know we saw his dedication, we saw his kindness, and we appreciate him more than words can express.

The leadership team wishes Rob a healthy and happy retirement.”

Rob has been a calm, focused leader through revolutionary changes in technology and processes throughout the industry – not to mention a national recession and global pandemic.

Karina Elias with the Journal of Business recently sat down with Rob and conducted an interview with him on a topic he's never done before - about himself.

The Q&A format article is featured in the current edition of the newspaper. You can read it there or online here.

Enjoy Draft Like a Lawyer in person over two days.

Featuring a curriculum that teaches drafting skills and integrated use of the most popular statewide forms, this class offers 16 clock hours to students as they learn about real estate forms and how to use them in their business.

Decoding Real Estate:
Social Media Marketing
with Travis Thom
For many agents, social media and digital marketing as a whole are tough concepts to grasp, and they tend to have more questions than knowledge:
  • How do I get started?
  • Where do I get started?
  • How much should I spend?
  • What techniques help drive lead generation?

One listen to Travis Thom, and you’ll have the answers. He’s the founder of Elevated REM, a full-service, digital marketing agency that specializes in helping real estate agents find their voice in the social/digital world.

In our latest episode, Travis gives tips and shares strategic insight on how to break into social media marketing, what platforms to adopt early (hint: the clock is Tik-ing), and breaks down digital terms such as pixels, code, cookies, funnels, retargeting, discovery cycles and storytelling.

It’s everything you need to know to start or fine-tune your real estate digital marketing plan.
