Dinner Program: The Bingo Queens of Oneida
Thursday, September 22
5:00-7:00 p.m.
Before Indian casinos sprouted up around the country, a few enterprising tribes got their start in gambling by opening bingo parlors. A group of women on the Oneida Indian Reservation just outside Green Bay, Wisconsin, introduced bingo in 1976 simply to pay a few bills. Bingo not only paid the light bill at the struggling civic center but was soon financing vital health and housing services for tribal elderly and poor.

Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. followed by an interesting and informative program at 6:00 p.m. in our theater. Click here to order tickets directly or call Katy at (920) 448-7874 with questions. We can't wait to gather with you all again!

Looking Ahead...
Clara Pagel was an inspiring woman who, at the age of 40, set off alone to see the world in 1936. Nearly sixty years later, author Janet Newman discovered letters Clara sent to her friends at the YWCA of Wausau, Wisconsin – letters describing Clara’s adventures in Shanghai, Manila, Italy, Egypt, and on a ship off the coast of Africa. Newman will read from Clara’s letters and describe her own adventure while piecing together Clara’s story.

Join us for our upcoming Dinner Program when we welcome author Janet Newman on Thursday, October 20th, 2022. Get your tickets today!
Meet Your Neville Team!
We are thrilled to introduce our new Digitization and Research Technician, Marin Kniskern! Marin completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, where she majored in Fine Arts: Gallery & Museum Practices, and double minored in Design Arts and Anthropology. From there she went on to UW-Milwaukee for her Masters in Art History and a graduate certificate in Museum Studies. While in school she interned at the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Chipstone Foundation, and Green Bay's own Art Garage, then honed her professional skills at the Missouri History Museum and Discovery World. She couldn't resist the opportunity to dive into the Neville's extensive history, science, and art Collection, and we could not be more thrilled to have her on board. Welcome, Marin!
