We purchased a new speaker for the gym since the gym sound system had not been working over the last few years and the new speaker is being used for P.E. classes, sporting events, etc. Dr. Beckham was also able to use it at the November Open House.
The PFO was able to donate to the Senior Breakfast in September and to the Glow Dance in November. We took up a collection for families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you again to all who have donated to the PFO to help us make donations!
We purchased 30 large Home Depot storage bins and gifted to the Student Council to house their items and protect them for many years to come.
And the PFO has been able to show our gratitude and appreciation to our faculty and staff over the months; providing them with wellness goodie bags, Bundtinis, donuts, appreciation gifts and a continuous supply of vitamin C lollipops (the new container is now kept in Dr. Beckham's office since the New Year), holiday cookies, a 6ft wedge and appreciation gifts to our custodial staff, our unseen heroes who constantly work behind the scenes!
We held a PFO meeting in September and October and we attended the Welcome Freshmen Night in October and the Open House in November. We also conducted a Restaurant Night at Chipotle in October and at Luigi's in November - thank you to everyone who participated! One PFO member has participated in the NAC meetings in the spring and fall (thank you Dr. Beckham for the invite to attend!).
We also held a "Coffee with the VP" event last month in February and provided coffee and donuts.
